She is a hardworking and determined woman. She has a bit of a perfectionist streak and is stubborn as a mule once she sets her mind on something. While she is clever and creative in all she does and good at finding new solutions to tricky problems, she often lets her need to get everything perfect get in the way of getting a job finished. She also has some trouble dealing with her OCD. Her desk has to be arranged in a very specific way or she can't work at all until she fixes it. Her father died when she was very young, leaving her mother alone to run a rather large household of children and extended family during a time of plague and disaster. Her mother became harsh in order to cope with her loss and the tragedy around her. Her older siblings left as soon as they were able. Eventually, her mother remarried to a man whose wealth helped save the family from losing everything. However, he was not a good man at all and in fact regularly abused anyone he thought less powerful than him. Fortunately, she was able to escape him when she gained a chance to apprentice at the Harper hall when she turned 12. She has never gone back or communicated with her mother or step father since then.
