History - Skot originally hales from Star Stone Hold. Fascinated at a young age with runners and herdbeasts, he was apprenticed into the Beastcraft by the time he was 10. He learned how to help breed a studier herdbeast that was capable of better withstanding the desert heat of the Western Continent. When he finally walked the tables at the age of 20 to become a Journeyman, Skot was quickly posted to Star Stone Weyr to help strengthen their herdbeast stock that the dragons fed upon. It was there that he met Aleva. He fell in love with her, and married her within a matter of months after getting her to accept his suit.
The couple were happy together, and after being together a year, were expecting their first child. Alas, it was not to be. Aleva miscarried. She would miscarry two more times before the couple gave up the idea of ever having children. Unable to stand seeing his wife grieve for the children that never manged to be born, Skot suggested to Aleva that they foster the various children of the dragonriders, once they were too old to spend a lot of time in the creche. Aleva agreed.
